I am PADI Course Director Kai Steinbeck.
I conduct PADI IDC programs from Tweed Heads, just south of the Gold Coast and work through Tweed Sea Sport as well as the Caribbean on the island of the Dominican Republic with Reef Oasis Dive Club, both PADI 5 star IDC centres, the perfect place to become a PADI Pro.
My diving career started when I was 16 years old in the Dominican Republic. Ever since I took my first breaths underwater I was mesmerized by the beauty of the marine environment. I've made the dive industry my career in 1994 when I became a PADI Openwater Scuba Instructor in Australia.
I have worked in the Caribbean, Indonesia, Costa Rica and all along the ribbon reefs on the Great Barrier Reef and the coral sea in Australia. I became a PADI Divemaster in 1992 and an Openwater Scuba Instructor in 1994 here in Australia and worked as a course instructor for many years teaching open water, advanced, rescue and Divemaster programs in Cairns. Over time I became a trip director on live aboard dive vessels and then became a skipper.
As I progressed through my diving career I held positions as international marketing manager for arguably the largest dive company, Divers Den, in Oceania and as Marine Operations Manager for Quicksilver. My passion for teaching scuba diving was always there and so I became a PADI Course Director and started my own business, Dive Instructor Academy. In 2021 I was awarded the PADI Platinum Course Director status.
I truly love teaching and my years of experience in the dive industry gives a me great foundational knowledge and experience to pass onto my students, not only in diving, but also marine life knowledge, marine conservation as well as business solutions for managing dive companies.
I have made a living from the ocean and it is important to me to give back as well. As part of my IDC programs I donate funds from your course fees on behalf of my students back to a marine conservation organisations.
My PADI IDC is run in either at Tweed Heads, just south of the Gold Coast or the Caribbean in conjunction with Tweed Sea Sports and Reef Oasis Dive Club. I run the new revised IDC program over a relaxed full time two week program, giving you plenty of time to go through all the material you need to in order to successfully pass your Instructor Examination.
Come and join me and change your life!
Do it in australia or the Caribbean
